As founder and principal broker at NetWorks Commercial Real Estate, a national firm headquartered in Richmond, VA. Jim specializes in investment properties, office buildings, shopping centers and industrial development opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic and has over 40 years of corporate, development, syndication, brokerage and consulting experience. Widely respected for developing investment strategies that identify exit alternatives prior to acquisition, Jim is known for his careful underwriting of properties prior to taking them to the market. Jim has served as Governor appointed member of the Virginia State Senate Storm Water Management Subcommittee (SJR44) representing the Virginia real estate development industry. He holds the distinguished Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. In 2004 & 2006, he received the “Most Significant Transaction” award from the Virginia CCIM Chapter and in 2007 he received the CCIM Partners “National Most Significant Transaction” award.
A graduate of the California State University, Fresno, Jim served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War as a Russian linguist and was trained at the Defense Language Institute, Monterey, California.
Janet Tucker, Partner/CFO is Director of Operations for NetWorksCRE. With over 36 years experience in corporate real estate brokerage, she supports the team through client relationship and database management, email campaigns, advertising, research, transaction management and office management, accounting and corporate/legal compliance matters.
Janet was formerly affiliated with Harrison & Bates/Grubb & Ellis where she was a member of their Board of Directors serving as Corporate Secretary and Administrative Office Manager. She served as the firm’s Corporate Representative to Executive Women International and was elected to their Board of Directors for three terms.
Respected for her ability to recruit, train, motivate and manage staff in a large corporate brokerage environment, Janet is skilled in negotiations of contracts for purchase of corporate assets and has received numerous awards for organization of corporate charitable campaigns.
Attended Lynchburg College and Virginia Commonwealth University, Janet’s career included work as a licensed Virginia Real Estate Agent specializing in land sales. Active in her community and her church, she has served as Chairperson of the Worship Committee and Nurture Committee at Williamsburg Methodist Church and served as an elected member of the Vestry at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Powhatan. Janet is an active member of the National Republican Party and served on the Jamestown Council of Republican Women.
