Jim Tucker, CCIM | Principal Broker/Strategist

Jim Tucker, CCIM, is founder and principal broker at NetWorks Commercial Real Estate, a national firm headquartered in Richmond, VA. NetWorksCRE.com® relies on a network of brokerage and principal relationships, including a database of over 5,000 proven ‘players’ along with the over 18,000 members of the CCIM.  Tucker specializes in retail shopping center investment properties and retail development opportunities in the Mid-Atlantic and has over 35 years of corporate, development, syndication, brokerage and consulting experience.  He is an active licensed broker in Virginia and North Carolina. With career credits as savings & loan executive, senior vice president for a NYSE development company and many years of successful advisory and brokerage experience, Jim Tucker, CCIM brings a degree of focus to client objectives and assignments that has been described by many as relentless in pursuit of one thing - RESULTS for his clients.

Prior to forming NetWorksCRE.com®, Tucker was a senior advisor at Sperry Van Ness, specializing in retail shopping center investment properties and retail development opportunities in Virginia and North Carolina. Tucker was the managing partner of Land Strategies, LLC, where he served as advisor and broker to financial institutions and corporate landowners. Jim came to Virginia in 1989 as national real estate director with the Heartland Group, Inc., where he developed Mid-Atlantic properties for the Seattle-based company.

Tucker is widely respected for developing investment strategies that identify exit alternatives prior to acquisition and is known for his careful underwriting of properties prior to taking them to the market. Client testimonials consistently mention Tucker's intellectual enthusiasm, creative solutions and relentless pursuit of client objectives. Tucker's clients include Lennar/U.S. Home Corporation and D.R. Horton Homes, Bank of America, Crestar Bank Trust Department, and the City of Williamsburg.

Tucker has served on the Regional Issues Committee; the James City County Greenway Steering Committee; the Chesterfield County Watershed Advisory Committee; as Governor appointed member of the Virginia State Senate Storm Water Management Subcommittee (SJR44) on behalf of the Virginia real estate development industry. He holds the distinguished Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Greater Richmond Association of Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE). In 2004 & 2006, he received the “Most Significant Transaction” award from the Virginia CCIM Chapter and in 2007 he received the CCIM Partners “National Most Significant Transaction” award 

Tucker holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from the California State University, Fresno, and an associate degree with an engineering emphasis from the University of Florida. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War as a Russian linguist and was trained at the Defense Language Institute, Monterey, California.

Janet Tucker | CFO & Director of Operations

Janet Tucker, Partner/CFO is Director of Operations for NetWorksCRE.com®. With over 26 years experience in corporate real estate brokerage, she supports the team through client relationship and database management, email campaigns, advertising, research, transaction management and office management, accounting and corporate/legal compliance matters.

Janet was formerly affiliated with Harrison & Bates/Grubb & Ellis where she was a member of their Board of Directors serving as Corporate Secretary and Administrative Office Manager. She served as the firm’s Corporate Representative to Executive Women International and was elected to the Board of Directors for three terms.

Respected for her ability to recruit, train, motivate and manage staff in a large corporate brokerage environment, Janet is skilled in negotiations of contracts for purchase of corporate assets and has received numerous awards for organization of corporate charitable campaigns.

Successful coursework at Lynchburg College and Virginia Commonwealth University, Janet’s career included work as a licensed Virginia Real Estate Agent specializing in land sales. Active in her community and her church, she has served as Chairperson of the Worship Committee and Nurture Committee and currently serves as an elected member of the Vestry at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Powhatan.  Janet is an active member of the National Republican Party and served on the Jamestown Council of Republican Women.

Jessica Bankston | Director of Marketing

As Jessica Bankston Marketing, LLC, Jessica serves as the contract Director of Marketing for NetWorksCRE.com® with responsibilities for all Internet marketing and creative and digital content for the firm.

Since 2002, Jessica has successfully managed the marketing, branding and positioning of real estate development firms with print ad and media, sales collateral design and production, community and sales center appearance, budget management, charitable programs, and internal and external company relations.  In 2008, she correctly recognized the importance of emerging social media and directed her focus on the burgeoning presence and need for web 2.0 positioning, later founding Monogram Marketing, based in Richmond, Virginia.

A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Mass Communications, with a focus on public relations, Jessica has worked closely with the Marketing and Media Departments of organizations such as the Virginia Department of Tourism, Richmond International Raceway, and McClure Broadcasting in Columbus, Georgia.

Jessica has served as a Young Leader and Communications Committee member of the Urban Land Institute’s Richmond Chapter, and currently serves as Communications Chairperson for Historic Richmond Foundation’s Junior Board. She is an accomplished chef and is currently studying architectural and art history.
